Keynote Highlights Taylor Colloquium 2016

Taylor 2016 Highlights

Here’s another podcast featuring content from the recent 2016 Taylor Colloquium. This time it’s highlights from each of the three keynote addresses. That is, about fifteen minutes  of the talks are provided in this show. You’ll hear Diana Glyer first as she talks about the process of writing and how Lewis and Tolkien often differed. Next is Sornia Higgins’ presentation on the life of Charles Williams and finally, the last third of this podcast comes from Colin Duriez’s speech on the critical friendship of Lewis and Owen Barfield. Please note that the last talk by Colin is more difficult to understand, as the place it was recorded in was different than the others and it turned out worse than expected.

Taylor 2016 PANEL

What follows is the panel discussion from the 2016 Taylor Colloquium that was held at Taylor University in Indiana just a few weeks ago.  Joe Ricke moderated the session with the featured keynote speakers, Diana Glyer, Colin Duriez, and Sorina Higgins. Those attending will recall that Carol Zaleski joined in via the Internet, however the quality of the audio on my recording was too poor to include; so none of her comments are included in this podcast. Other than that, all of the panel discussion content is provided in the show.

Taylor Colloquium 2016

Taylor 2016The following is a conversation I had with Dr. Joseph Ricke from Taylor University about the 2016 C.S. Lewis Colloquium being held on their campus June 2-5. He also gives some details about their C.S. Lewis Center which has a wide range of books from Lewis and several other authors. The featured speakers for this Colloquium are Dr. Diana Glyer, Colin Duriez and Sorina Higgins. Each have been on All About Jack previously.

2015 Recap, Part One

2015 Recap Part ONE2015 was a busier year than even last year for releasing brand new shows, or episodes that had never been posted on the AAJ hosting location. Nearly 40 shows fall under that category, as I released an average of more than one show a week when you count re-releases. In this first of a two-part recap of new shows from 2015 I briefly describe them and then for most of them I provide a link below so you can hear the entire podcast if they sound interesting to you.
